Comprendre les violences en milieu jeune au Cameroun – Publication sur les résultats d’une recherche-action
Face à l'un des grands fléaux qui minent la société camerounaise, à savoir la violence chez les jeunes, les organisations partenaires de SCP-PPLM Cameroun ont décidé en 2021 de mener une recherche-action afin de mieux comprendre le problème et de proposer des solutions à travers un plaidoyer en faveur de l'éducation à la paix. En 2022, les enquêteurs ont été déployés dans les départements ciblés du Cameroun pour collecter des données sur le terrain. Les organisations partenaires ont organisé des discussions de groupe pour réconcilier les données collectées. A la fin du processus de collecte, les données ont été analysées par un panel de scientifiques coordonné par le Prof Tagou Célestin de l'Université Protestante d'Afrique Centrale. Cette publication contient les résultats de cette recherche-action et les recommandations proposées lors de la restitution des résultats en décembre 2023.
Understanding violence in youth settings in Cameroon - A publication on the results of an action-research project
In response to one of the major scourges undermining Cameroonian society, namely violence among young people, the partner organisations of CPS-BftW Cameroon decided in 2021 to carry out action-research in order to better understand the problem and propose solutions through advocacy for peace education. In 2022, the investigators were deployed to the targeted divisions of Cameroon to collect data in the field. The partner organisations organised focus group discussions to reconcile the data collected. At the end of the data collection process, the data was analysed by a panel of scientists coordinated by Prof Tagou Célestin of the Protestant University of Central Africa. This publication contains the results of this research-action and the recommendations proposed at the time of the restitution of the results in December 2023.
